Repeat Prescriptions

There are several ways to order your repeat prescription

Online via the link at the top of this page. Please note, you need to register for this service - ask at Reception for details

In person at the Surgery by completing a request form which can be handed to Reception or placed in the prescription request box next to Reception 

Via the online prescription request tool - call 01706 335319 and then press the # key to receive a link

QR Code displayed in Surgery which takes you directly to the Rossendale Valley email address 

Via email to rossendalevalley.medicalpractice@nhs.net 

EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) - we can send prescriptions directly to your Pharmacy of choice.  To get started with this service, please discuss this with your Pharmacy of choice 

Please note:   prescriptions can take 48 hours to process

Help with NHS costs

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:

• those on specific benefits or through the NHS Low Income Scheme
• those who are age exempt
• those with certain medical conditions

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

• Prescription (per item): £9.90
• 12-month Prepayment Certificate (PPC): £114.50
• 3-month PPC: £32.05

If you pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than fourteen items in twelve months, you may find it cheaper to purchase a PPC. (Prepayment Certificate)
